Film Review: Dancing Heart

Dancing Heart is a movie that focuses on emotional adventure, dilemma and discovery. As an adventure, it explores man’s insatiable appetite and quest for knowledge.

It is an intellectual excursion into the world of liberated young woman whose emotion had been incarcerated by ‘generation gap’ and in an attempt to fill her hollow, the husband, a writer who is compiling her experience for a book encourage her to go out and socialize and in the adventure she ended up having her heart dancing between real and ideal love.

This progressed to a state of emotional stale mate where the dilemma for her is whether to leave the husband who loves her with a pitch of freedom and so real love or her new found lover, who lovers her with a penchant of modern affection and so an ideal love.

The emotional, cross roads experienced by the principal characters as a result of the adventure, was an eye opener for them as they discovered what love is and the susceptibility of man.

Starring Olu Jacobs, Rita Dominic and Ramsey Noah as principal characters, the story line flew freely and blended with the plotting pattern of the script where all the characters developed and had their perception of life changed. They graduated from naivety to sophistication.

Produced by Nwafor Anayo and directed by TChidi Chikere, it is a movie that brings out he best of Rita Dominic and Olu Jacobs.
